Paisley Jean made her big entrance, and boy was it big, on October 12. She was born at 8:47 am weighing 7 lbs 8 oz and was 20 inches long. However, shortly after birth she was whisked away to the nursery to be put under an oxygen hood. By the next morning she was worse so she was transported to Big Baptist and is currently in the NICU on a resporator. She inhaled some amniotic fluid and has a pneumothorax. The air bubble is healing on its own. As of today her breathing was less labored but she is not ready to be extabated. That should happen in a couple of days. They are guessing maybe a week to a week and half before she gets to come home.
